About this Dish
BÁNH CAM directly translates to Orange Cake because it resembles an orange. This dessert comes from South Vietnam. It’s a deep-fried glutinous rice ball filled with sweet mung bean paste, with a sesame seed crust. In northern Vietnam, the same dessert is known as BÁNH RÁN which is coated with caramel sugar and doesn't have sesame.
