BÁNH ĐÚC LẠC is a plain rice flan, made from rice flour, potato flour, and peanuts. The snack is very popular in North Vietnam and is considered one of the most rustic and simple cakes in Hanoi. BÁNH ĐÚC LẠC can be served hot or cold, usually with a salty dipping sauce made from fermented soybeans called tương bần (ban soy sauce). You can eat it plain or dip it in ban soy sauce as you desire.
