BÁNH XÈO

About this Dish

BÁNH XÈO is a large fried pancake stuffed with bean spouts, pork, and shrimp. You are supposed to cut a piece of the pancake (with a spoon), roll it inside rice paper or mustard greens, then dip the roll in fish sauce. We find it easier to mix the pancake and the greens in a bowl, pour some fish sauce and eat from the bowl. Anyway it's really a classic Vietnamese dish to try.
