About this Dish
Originated in Hanoi, BÚN ỐC is a rice noodle soup with a tomato-based broth. It is topped with small Apple Snails (ỐC BƯU) and other toppings such as fried tofu, and tomato wedges and served with perilla. BÚN ỐC is similar to BÚN RIÊU, but it's not as intense in flavor and has fewer ingredients.
